IRONMAN Lake Placid never fails to be a great race. The community, athletes, and volunteers all rally together to make an incredible atmosphere filled with inspiration and support. The race may be over but the impact from IRONMAN Foundation Athletes is still going strong! This year, IRONMAN Foundation Athletes gave back $66,000 in grant funding to local nonprofit groups within the Adirondack region.

The IRONMAN Foundation® Community Fund will distribute $50,000 in grant funding to non-profit initiatives and groups in the greater Boulder, Colorado community in conjunction with the 2015 IRONMAN® Boulder triathlon taking place on Sunday, August 2, 2015. The IRONMAN Foundation Community Fund provides community and volunteer grant opportunities to non-profit organizations where U.S. IRONMAN® events are held. With this most recent donation from The IRONMAN Foundation, a total of $121,000 has been given across the Boulder Triathlon Series this year. In 2015, The IRONMAN Foundation will provide more than $1.5 million to support the needs of IRONMAN race communities across North America.

The IRONMAN Foundation Community Fund will give $66,000 in grant funding to initiatives and groups in the greater Lake Placid, New York area as part of the IRONMAN® Lake Placid triathlon taking place on Sunday, July 26, 2015. The IRONMAN Lake Placid event is one of the oldest and most prestigious of the IRONMAN events in North America. The IRONMAN Foundation’s contribution will provide support to non-profit needs and initiatives within the local community, and brings the total giveback to $1,377,033 in the region. Including the IRONMAN Foundation donations as part of IRONMAN Lake Placid, a total of over $1.5 million will be provided to support the needs of IRONMAN race communities in 2015.
